Patricia is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School where she was actively involved in the Community Legal Aid Services Programme. Prior to law school, she attended the University of Toronto where she undertook course work toward a Bachelor of Commerce with a Specialist in Economics. Patricia has also completed the Canadian Securities Course.
Although she has experience in and is able to handle a wide variety of commercial matters, Patricia has developed a particular focus on the resolution of shareholder disputes, director liability claims and construction law matters. She also regularly advises clients on specific issues such as collection strategies. Patricia has extensive court experience and has appeared before all levels of Ontario courts including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. While she is always prepared to present a creative legal argument in court, Patricia is cognizant of her clients’ business needs and offers a practical approach to dispute resolution.
Patricia works closely with all of the other members of the litigation and business team at KMB to offer both diverse and specifically catered legal support to her clients, which range from individual shareholders and sole proprietorships to large corporations. Patricia regularly conducts seminars on the topics of shareholder dispute resolution and director liability. She is also actively involved in the community and recently completed a three-year term as a director of the Peel Law Association. In her spare time, Patricia enjoys painting and sailing.
