Technology, Municipal I.T. and E-Commerce

We support a number of municipalities exclusively in the area of Information Technology. Here we assist City Solicitors, IT Departments, Corporate Purchasing Departments and various City business groups (including Transportation, Finance and Tax) in dealing with the many day to day matters that are impacted by legislation as well as assisting them with new business technology issues as they emerge.

Many municipal clients are sophisticated purchasers and users of technology. We provide service and support at all levels of user sophistication. It is now quite common for us to be invited to participate in early strategy meetings where various projects are being initiated. This allows us to provide not only legal structure to the project, but also a business perspective based on our involvement with the technology industry. Depending on the need and direction of the client, we either provide input on specific tasks or provide general project management support where internal resources are scarce and are not experienced in these matters.
